The Mini Wright Peak Flow Meter measures the maximum expiratory flow rate during a forced expiration. It provides an inexpensive form of self-monitoring by patients to give information about their response to treatment. The Mini Wright Peak Flow Meter will enable the physician to closely follow the effect of treatment. It is of particular value in the control of corticosteroid and cromoglycolate therapy.
The measurement of the effect of physiotherapy and of training on athletes are yet other applications for the Mini Wright Peak Flow Meter.
